Around the 3rd century AD, the production of dzi beads ceased due to the introduction of Buddhism. However, their craftsmanship was secretly preserved. In the 7th century, when the Tubo kingdom defeated the Kingdom of Zhangzhung, they continued the dzi bead culture of Zhangzhung and integrated it into Tibetan Buddhist cultural significance, beginning the practice of passing down and preserving the dzi beads.

Religious Symbolism

In Tibetan culture, dzi beads are considered sacred objects with supernatural attributes and powers. They are often used in religious offerings and ceremonies.

Symbol of Identity

Dzi beads also have symbolic significance in Tibetan society, representing one's wealth, status, and beliefs. Wearing a dzi bead can indicate a person's social standing and personal faith.

Cultural Value

Dzi beads carry rich cultural connotations and historical value, making them an essential part of Tibetan culture. As a result, they are highly valued in the collectible market.

Market Demand

As people increasingly value traditional culture and invest in collecting, the demand for dzi beads in the market continues to rise, and their prices have also increased.
